We’ve been on the road now for 4 months. Having officially started vanlife mid September last year. Before then we were doing trips here and there. Some long, some short. Grateful days getting used to the van and enjoying the scenery.
This past month or so I’ve been recalling those trips, picking out the best pics and compiling mini-galleries like this one (see PHOTOS section).
Already we’ve come a long way. And it’s good to start this looking back. Remembering where we’ve been, who we’ve seen, how we’ve been looked after, how none of this would be possible without friends.
The friend who gave us the van for a start (WOW!!). The friends whose garden we lived in in our caravan, Lucille. Where the seed for vanlife was first planted. And who've supported us in many other ways too.
And then there’s the friends who always show an interest. Are always intrigued, encouraging, sometimes worried about us, sometimes wishing they could come with us.
Friends who have offered us driveways, showers, meals, beds, their house whilst they’re away. And when they’re at home too.
It’s been a humbling and heartening thing.
So a huge thanks to them. For helping us set off in a steady direction. From a place of love, connection and joy. And here's to things to come. Sharing the journey, this journey, our journeys.
And on that note, here's some geese. One of the many rabble babbles we've seen on our travels. Honking communities flying free and looking out for each other along the way. Inspiring each other to go further than they ever could alone..... xx
